There are many alternative condo rentals advertised on the web for Collingwood. I would suggest doing a search by starting with Blue Mountain ski and snowboard resort, Collingwood Condo rentals or even adjacent towns: Thornbury , Town of Blue Mountains, Nottawa, Wasaga Beach - are all withing 20 minutes to the area ski and snowboard resorts and private clubs.
We had an amazing time and renting our condo was a means to an end. We purchased it when our daughter Marianne Leeson was a young teenager and doing well on the snowboard race circuit. She did so well in fact that she had to move out to Calgary to train. This caused us to start renting it as a fundraiser to help with her training costs. She is now on the national snowboard team and is travelling around the world attending world cup races. She is hoping to go to the Olympics in 2014 which is being held in Sochi, in Russia.
Her travelling expenses increased quite dramatically and the rental income from the condo was not enough. From this we added 2 more small businesses which have helped. The first one we started was a B&B in Burlington named Creekside. We have become very popular and this is now our main form of funding. We also deliver and rent tent trailers as aprt of the business.
