Lin and Steve emigrated from the UK in 1980. Steve has been working with the City of Toronto Fire Department as a firefighter and captain for over 25 years. Lin worked hard at home bringing up 4 children, all who have since left home and have started their own lives.
This website was setup by our son, Nicholas, who is our eldest. He has two degrees in Engineering Physics and now works in the UK as an Optical/Photonics engineer. He’s also an avid swing dancer, and on the side sets up websites for small businesses, like this one using WordPress, which is an easy-to-use (and easy-to-change) content management system. Joanne also qualified as an engineer and is working in Ontario for the Region of Waterloo. She is a senior project manager and currently working on building a Police Station for the region.
Kerri is married to Jonnie. They met whilst working on the ski slopes at Big White in British Columbia. They have since moved to Whistler and are both working within the resort.
Our youngest daughter Marianne, has been very successful in her snowboarding career and is now a member of the Canadian National Snowboard Team. Her ambition is to attend the Olympics representing Canada. To help her achieve this, and as sponsorship is non existent, we started our business – in particular the B&B, to help her fund her dream. She is on the right path to succeed in this dream and at the end of the season of 2012 she is ranked the second fastest Canadian Girl.
